Mayday Madrigals from the top of Town Church
8am - 8:30am
To usher in May Day, the official start of Summer, a group of choristers will be singing a lively and uplifting selection of Madrigals and other spirit-raising works as the morning sun (we hope!) beams over the Harbour. Inspired by an Oxford tradition dating back to the 1600s, in which a choir sung from the top of Magdalen College's Great Tower to thousands gathered below, this year Guernsey may well be the only place in the British Isles to be welcoming in the Summer so melodiously. Definitely not to be missed - and there's an invitation to breakfast afterwards in the Church for all early risers.
