The story of the Blennerhassetts in America and Guernsey
SECRETS AND LIES, SCANDAL, REBELS AND LOVERS!
Was Harman Blennerhassett just a naive Irish scholar caught up in something much bigger than him, or did he know exactly what he was doing? Lecturer Adra Johnson from the Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park, West Virginia, will explain how an extraordinary story that began on one of America’s most ancient river islands ended here in Guernsey.
Secrets, rebellion, fortune, and loss: during America’s formative years, Harman and Margaret Blennerhassett were at the forefront of Aaron Burr’s alleged conspiracy to overrule America and start a new country.
