Arts Sunday 2023
Arts Sunday returns 4th June from 10am to 5pm across the seafront celebrating the Arts and creativity within our Islands. The day long event celebrates the Arts within our community, showcasing artists and organisations for you to meet.
With over 100 stalls taking part in the day, the Arts Market between Crown and Albert Pier hosts a fantastic mix of what our creative sellers have to offer. It’s a great chance to buy something new, or have a chat.

TOWN CHURCH with Thinking On Your Feet
Poetry, Prose and Music Soundscapes: Renewal
A poetry and music event was staged in the Town Church last year on Arts Sunday and it was such a tremendous success that we're doing it again on Arts Sunday this year.
A church is obviously the perfect venue for reciting poetry and singing and playing music because of the excellent natural acoustics. Once again we will have an eclectic mix of music and poetry to enjoy so please do come along and listen to some of the best the island has to offer: you will be most welcome and we'd love to see you. The theme this year is 'Renewal' and the event itself takes place on Sunday June 4th, and runs from 1pm until 4.30pm: entrance is free.
Adam Tolcher, a young musician from the UK, will open the afternoon at 1pm and also close the event at 4pm with his 'musical soundscapes'. Throughout the rest of the afternoon there will be poetry and prose recitals by local poets Trudie Shannon, Susie Gallienne, Lyndon Queripel, Tony Bradley, Kate Gallienne, Theresa Le Flem, Julie Madeley, Andrew Pouteaux and Lester Queripel, as well as UK poet Tim Slader.
