Beginners Needle Felting WORKSHOP with Liz Potter

3rd Aug
2pm - 4pm
Following the success of last year's event, Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club have once again organised a full programme of 'have a go' workshops and demonstrations which will run alongside our main exhibition at Blanchelande College.

Workshops cost just £10 (to cover materials) and must be booked in advance.  Demonstrations are free to attend.

Try your hand at Collage or Decoupage.  Have a go at Silk Painting, Cyanotype or Needle Felting.  No experience is required. All materials are included and each workshop includes a project for you to take home with you.
Needle felting is the process of compressing clean, carded pure wool fibres with barbed needles to create solid shapes. It is a fun and rewarding craft and once you have learned the basic methods used there is no end to the variety of sculptures you can create.  Be warned it is an addictive hobby!

In this 2 hour beginners workshop Liz will demonstrate the basic techniques, explain the differences between the various types of wool, needles and felting mats available and lead you through the step by step process of creating your own needle felted sheep.

All tools and materials required will be provided together with a take-home instruction guide so that you can make a friend for your woolly creation.
