Britpop Legends Sleeper (full band) w/Tantale and Lula & Gene

25th October

Join Britpop legends, Sleeper for a full band performance at St James!

Sleeper had eight Top 40 hit singles and three Top 10 albums during the 1990s. The band’s debut release Smart became one of the first notable Britpop albums spawning the classic hit, Inbetweener. It was followed by the platinum-selling release, The It Girl which yielded four singles and chart hits What Do I Do Now?, Nice Guy Eddie, Sale of the Century and Statuesque.

The band also recorded a cover of the Blondie song Atomic, which was used in the film Trainspotting. In 2017 they made a triumphant return to music with the release of their critically acclaimed Top 20 album, The Modern Age.

Supporting Sleeper will be Tantale, a four-piece formation of infectious rock, spanning 14 years and 4 studio albums, Tantale bring a strong sound and confident presence on the live circuit. Opening up for Sleeper in 2023 with an unplugged set, they are delighted to be playing with the London group again, this time plugged in!
The recent album ‘Where Nothing Ends’, BBC’s Tom Girard wrote likely Tantale’s best release yet and, after 13 or so years together, feels like they are ready to open up to a whole new part of their musical journey.

Rounding off the reunion from last year and kicking off the evening with their very own Drum & Bass style are local duo Lula & Gene.
