Flexagon Live, w/ Its Own Animal & Finley Gomez @ St James

3rd February
Three of Guernsey's finest producers kick off the weekend of Independent Venue Week 2023 with a special night of electronic music.
We're particularly excited to welcome Flexagon back for a rare live performance, celebrating the launch of his new album. Following on from 2022’s live show supporting SkySkrapers, he returns to St James for a headline performance. Flexagon will again be joined on stage by special guests. This show builds on everything that made last year’s live outing so memorable: the immersive sounds, electric atmosphere and emotive live performances. Expect a wide range of music from epic electronic ambient excursions through to four to the floor dance tracks. All this will be accompanied by immersive visuals.
Flexagon’s new Guernsey-based album The Towers I: Inaccessible is released on the same day of this event.
Support comes from Its Own Animal and Finley Gomez.
Its Own Animal is an electronic musician, producer, sound designer, songwriter and performer. Working in a range of genres from ambient balladry to house, dub, rave and electronic groove to indy experimentalism, he has been described as a beat poet, a folk house songscaper, and a weirdo.
Its Own Animal performs live with a guitar around his neck, surrounded by synths, drum pads, sequencers and pedals and uses all of these to create deeply layered and thumping atmospheric grooves which underpin his songs and poems.
Finley Gomez
Guernsey-based music producer and instrumentalist Finley Gomez makes diligent music that blurs the line between electronic, pop, RnB and soul.
Finley’s set on the night will consist of a live rendition of his debut album You're Ephemera, along with some exclusive live tracks.
