FOX Art Competition: Submissions

10th Jul - 12th Sep
9am - 5pm

Application forms are now available online!

Jersey Arts Centre and Guernsey Arts are calling on Channel Island artists from both Bailiwicks to be part of our island-wide Fox Open Art Competition 2023. Winning and selected artworks will be exhibited at Jersey Arts Centre and The George Crossan Gallery Guernsey.

This year, artists can enter online by completing our online application form and submitting photographs of their artwork. Our judge, Tom Wood, will make a shortlisted selection from the photographs virtually on 14 September, then choose the winning works in person on 23 September. The closing date for entries is 5pm Tuesday 12 September

This year’s prizes total £2,000 and will be awarded to Channel Island-based artists who, in the opinion of the judge, have produced the most original work of art. This year’s prizes are:

  • £1,000 for the overall winner
  • £500 for the winner of the Jock Russell Award for 12 to 18 year olds
  • £100 for 5 highly commended artists.

Entrants may submit up to two works and it costs just £5. If you’re a student, then you only have to pay £1 to enter your piece(s)!

This year’s Judge is Tom Wood. He will be exhibiting his own work in the Berni Gallery in the run up to the competition exhibition – make sure to check it out! Find out more about Tom Wood here:
