GADOC Presents: 9 to 5 The Musical

GADOC is set to bring a toe-tappin’ musical treat to Beau Sejour theatre this
Easter.

Based on the hit 1980 big screen comedy 9 to 5 which starred Jane Fonda and
Dolly Parton, this hilarious and heartfelt musical-comedy centres on the
downtrodden working lives of Violet, Judy and Doralee, three very different
women who forge an alliance against their lecherous and obnoxious employer,
Franklin Hart - with unforgettable results!

With music and lyrics by the one and only Dolly Parton, 9 to 5 The Musical takes
audiences on a wild and wonderful trip back in time to the era of big hair and bold
fashion.

Director Lisa Johnston says, “I confess, like a lot of people I was initially only
familiar with the iconic title song of this show but there is so much to love and
appreciate beyond that. There is a real feel-good factor as the story unfolds and
the three principal ladies team up against the odds and show that anything is
possible!

“The cast are having great fun working with innovative choreography and the
superbly catchy score, and of course stepping into the late-70s workplace – with
accompanying fashion and hairstyles! If, like me, you didn’t know of this musical

out!”

‘9 to 5 The Musical’ will run from Saturday 8 – Saturday 15 April with eight
