Synopsis: Set in the French village of Petit Derriere, kind-hearted Belle, Dame Betty’s daughter, meets and falls in love with handsome Prince Louis. However evil forces are at work as the mischief-making bad fairy Vanité casts a spell on the Prince, changing him into an ugly Beast. Louis can only return to normal if he finds true love before the final petal of a red rose falls. Featuring an array of vibrant and unforgettable characters including Dame Betty’s bumbling son Benny, Belle’s arrogant admirer Gaviscon and the magical good fairy Amour, this pantomime transforms the classic fairytale into a spectacular original retelling for Guernsey audiences.

Written by up-and-coming UK playwright Alex Jackson, GADOC is delighted to be premiering this original script. Look out for many local references from gache to our sister island. Directed by Judy Moore, this fantastical pantomime has all the traditional elements including audience participation and will entertain audiences both young and old.
