GPF: Equilibrium by Estelle Moseley & Polaroid Collection by Tasmin Ferguson
This fabulous double exhibition, taking place in the George Crossan Gallery, features the varied work of two local photographers.
Equilibrium by Estelle Moseley
“Equilibrium: a state in which opposing forces or influences are balanced.”
Equilibrium creates sculptural forms as disparate elements which make up a whole. It examines gravity, forces and balance. Equilibrium is about a balancing act, and a mirroring of itself. The works reflect upon one another, as the forms are suspended in space. Through experimenting with materials in a small space, Equilibrium uses photography to examine the three and two dimensional.
Polaroid Collection by Tasmin Ferguson
Collating 5 years of work within the medium of Polaroid, this collection of self portraits is a mix of diaristic style projects that focus on identity and self-expression. The instant and permanence of polaroid attempts to project a raw and honest portrayal, whilst the unpredictable nature of the format allows for play within imperfection. “I like the permanence of Polaroid. It’s raw, a little unpredictable, and honest.” and two dimensional. Tasmin Ferguson
