These workshops give a taster of the bigger projects we can work on in the week long SUMMER ARTS CLUB 2022 courses. Each workshop costs £26.
1/8/22-5/8/22 workshop times 9.30-12.00 (later pick up if required)
Monday 1st August: Printing: using natural patterns found in geology including geodes, marble, sedimentary rocks to create beautiful pastel designs.
Tuesday 2nd August: Most bizarre Creature: using collage to create fabulous invented creatures, with reference to Minotaurs, Dinosaurs, Dodos and anything else peculiar, fact or fiction.
Wednesday 3rd August: Artist Trading Cards: using paint, pastel, ink, pigments to create miniature art cards to swop or keep as you choose.
Thursday 4th August: Gustav Klimt Tree of Life, using acrylics, watercolours and pastels and anything else you can find to create beautiful 2d and 3d dreamy landscapes.
Friday 5th August: 3D cat sculptures: in the style of artist Laurel Burch, using felt pens, paint, paper and mixed media.
15/8/22-19/8/22 workshop times 9.30-12.00 (later pick up if required)
Monday 15th August: The most amazing Bonsai Tree: using mixed media we will make miniature table top trees (as you’ve never seen before)
Tuesday 16th August: Illuminated Initial letters: looking at medieval lettering and giving it a contemporary spin (perhaps with gold leaf?)
Wednesday 17th August: Artist Trading Cards: using paint, pastel, ink, pigments to create miniature art cards to swop or keep as you choose.
Thursday 18th August: Butterflies and Insects: elegant mixed media sculptures that ‘fly’ over paper weights.
Friday 19th August: Monoprint Mandalas: using a variety of different paints to create a spectacular colourful finish (very messy)
22/8/22 – 26/8/22 workshop times 9.30-12.00 (later pick up if required)
Monday 22nd August: Sacred animals and paint: experimenting with various paint mediums we will be designing Eygyptian sacred animals on a fun bubble painting background.
Tuesday 23rd August: Coat of Arms: using watercolour and other finishes we will design our own family coat of arms.
Wednesday 24th August: Artist Trading Cards: using paint, pastel, ink, pigments to create miniature art cards to swop or keep as you choose.
Thursday 25th August: Knights Templar: we will design our own Spear of Destiny, Ark of the Covenant and sword engraved on an aluminium sheet, offset with paint and gold dust.
Friday 26th August: The silk Road: looking at this historical trading route, using mixed media to create an elaborate wall hanging.
