Jazz in the Cafe

Jazz in the Cafe is back!

We are delighted to welcome the London Jazz Piano Collective to the Cafe as part of their annual summer retreat. The Collective comprises a number of pianists from the UK and Europe including, and under the direction of, Tim Richards.

Tim has been a name on the UK’s jazz and blues scene since the early 1980s. He has toured widely with his Trio, the groups Spirit Level and Great Spirit and released over a dozen albums as leader, with line ups from duo to nine-piece. He is also the author of several acclaimed books, including Improvising Blues Piano and Exploring Jazz Piano (Schott).

Special guests include double bass player Alex Keen, from Tim’s trio, and the multi award winning and acclaimed singer Maiuko.

Expect some classic piano trio jazz drawn from the great American songbook, blues, latin, bebop and beyond.

Remember, spaces in the Café are limited, so make sure to get your tickets early.
