Handel’s Messiah is one of the best-known and most frequently performed choral works in Western Music. Part 1 tells the story of the birth of Jesus, Part 2 concentrates on the Passion of Jesus and Part 3 covers the resurrection of the dead and Christ’s glorification in Heaven.

This wonderful work shows Handel at his very best with glorious choruses for the choir and beautiful expressive arias for the soloists.

The Guernsey Bach Choir and Orchestra are joined by four gifted guest soloists who have delighted audiences locally and worldwide with their exceptional talents.
Formed in 2007 The Guernsey Bach Choir has performed a large repertoire of choral music and is now a well-established vocal ensemble with a growing reputation for high standard performances. Tonight they come together with an orchestra of strings, trumpets and oboes to perform this masterpiece from the Baroque Era.
A limited number of seats are available at £35. This will include a drink before the concert and all proceeds from these tickets will go to St James.
