Martyn will present a mix of selected pieces by one of the UK’s top pianists Philip Howard, Externi Consort and Mariposa Strings. Philip Howard and Externi Consort will also perform pieces written by Martyn himself.

Philip Howard is a British-born composer and pianist and studied in London, at the Royal Academy of Music. His first success came as a composer, when in 1992 he won joint First Prize in the first BBC Young Musician of the Year Lloyds Bank Composer Award. He’s currently best known for his performances of music by Morton Feldman and Iannis Xenakis.

Joseph Edwards is an English baritone whose career as a soloist and consort singer has led him to perform in venues across the world. He is an Associate Artist with the internationally acclaimed choir, Tenebrae. Joseph works professionally as a choral director and singing teacher and is the Festival Director of Guernsey Choral Festival, taking pride in making choral singing accessible to all.

The Mariposa Strings group consists of professionally qualified local musicians who play a wide of selection of music, from jazz to rock and pop. The ethos of the quartet is to provide versatile, professional quality music for recitals, events and functions. The players draw from combined experience performing chamber music recitals, outreach workshops, and session and improvisation work. Originally formed in Guernsey, the quartet has also performed in London and Jersey.

£45 ticket price includes welcome drink and dinner*.

Tickets can be purchased individually or for a full table of eight people.

Doors open at 19:00 for dinner and drinks. The entertainment starts at 8pm, dessert will be served during the performance interval.

*Choice of hot and cold sharing platters served by ‘Cooked by James Ferguson’ with vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options (please specify any dietary requirements when booking)
