In GADOC’s 66th annual pantomime ‘Robin Hood & the Babes in the Wood’, writer Alan P. Frayn combines two classic tales that will entertain the whole family this Christmas!

Things are looking rotten in Nottingham. King Richard has gone off to fight in the crusades, leaving his people at the mercy of the dastardly Sheriff of Nottingham and his extortionate taxes. Sam and Ella, the King’s beloved niece and nephew (affectionately dubbed ‘the Babes’), are also in the Sheriff’s sights as he plots to steal their inheritance with the help of his two bungling henchmen, Snivel and Grovel. But resistance and rebellion is brewing. Cue the courageous Robin Hood and his trusted band of Merry Men, who set up camp in Sherwood Forest and set out to balance the scales by robbing the rich to feed the poor. With the help of Maid Marian and Dame Nellie Nickerlastic, can Robin save Nottingham from ruin and protect the Babes from the Sheriff’s dreadful, dark and deadly deed? Expect a fusion of comedy, chaos and a rockin' soundtrack!
