Sarina Arts & Crafts presents En Plein Air Painting Competition

CALLING ALL ARTISTS!
Come and join Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club for our annual En Plein Air Painting Competition on Saturday 18th June 2022.
NEW FOR THIS YEAR - JUNIOR SECTION! for age categories 7-11yrs and 12-16yrs
Great Cash Prizes to be won in the adult category of £100 for 1st place, £50 for 2nd place, £25 for 3rd place with prizes of art materials for winners of the junior categories. Further prizes will also be awarded to the winners of the Public Vote after the exhibition of entries following the competition.

This year the 'designated' painting area is on the beautiful Jerbourg Peninsula and registration will take place at 9.30am at Pinetops Studio (just behind the Doyle Monument on the Jerbourg Road). Please bring whatever item of medium (canvas/board/paper etc) you plan to paint or craft onto to the registration table so that it can be stamped. Artists may have as many items stamped as they like but only one entry per artist may be submitted for judging at the end of the day. A non-refundable fee of £6 per medium (£4 for Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club members) must be paid on registration. (£1 flat fee for juniors). All works must be started and completed 'En Plein Air' and entries submitted for judging by 4.30pm at Pinetops Studios.
PLEASE NOTE .. JUNIORS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A RESPONSIBLE ADULT AT ALL TIMES.
Judging will take place over the weekend and the winners will be notified. Our judges this year are David Ummels from Art for Guernsey and Helen Bonner-Morgan from Arts for Impact. In addition to the cash prize of £100 the winning artist will also have their name inscribed on the Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club 'En Plein Air' Trophy which will be presented to them on the opening night of the Club's Summer Exhibition at Blanchelande College on Thursday 5th August.
All the entries will be exhibited at Pinetops Studio between Monday 20th-Wednesday 22nd June (open 10am-4pm daily) where the public will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite entry.
