The Repair Cafe are running a 4 week beginner's sewing course starting in January. Tuesday's 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th January. 7pm-9.30pm!
About the Event
Join us on this 4 week introductory course into basic sewing. This course aims to cover simple hand sewing, machine sewing, making a simple item and some basic alterations. Classes will be informal and relaxed and hope to encourage a mending mindset. The weekly plan is subject to change depending on the level in the class and individual interests.

Materials and sewing machines will be provided. Along with refreshments.
Example plan below:
Week 1. Hand sewing, buttons and useful stitches.
Week 2. How to thread and use a machine. Make a simple draw string bag
Week 3. Putting in a zip. Make a cushion cover
Week 4. Finishing cushion cover. Simple alterations.

The Location: La Menardais, La Route de Sausmarez, St Martins, GY4 6SG There are a number of spaces at the property or parking can be found a 5 minute walk away at the upper section by Iceland.
Cost: £80pp. Please make sure the transfer is carried out 14 days before the start of the course to secure the space on the course. Please let us know as soon as possible if the space is no longer required. Missed weeks cannot be refunded or transferred.
