Siân Davey: For the Love of the Land

Internationally renowned photographer Siân Davey’s exhibition ‘For the Love of the Land’ arrives in Guernsey on 22 October and is open until 20 November at the Brian White Gallery, Candie Gardens.

Created in collaboration with Guernsey Museums and curator Jean-Christophe Godet, this body of work explores Guernsey’s farming community; their joy, sacrifice, dedication, pride and fragility.

As part of our Artist in Resident programme, Davey, from a family of farmers, immersed herself in this world over the course of six weeks. During this time, she captured the everyday lives and the landscape of this community. The result is both beautiful and intriguing.
