The Choir of Trinity College Cambridge and Guernsey Singers

Join us for an inspiring evening of choral collaboration as the internationally renowned The Choir of Trinity College Cambridge performs alongside children’s choirs and community singers from across the Channel Islands, and Normandy.

This concert features local young voices and adult singers who, during the day, will have been coached by members of The Choir of Trinity College Cambridge The evening’s programme will showcase a mix of joint performances and works by The Choir of Trinity College Cambridge alone, celebrating both musical excellence and community participation.

The Choir of Trinity College Cambridge, voted the fifth best choir in the world by Gramophonemagazine, is made up of 32 Choral Scholars and 2 Organ Scholars, all students of the University. With a choral tradition dating back to the 14th century, the choir embraced female voices in the 1980s and today upholds a rich liturgical repertoire drawn from both Catholic and Protestant traditions. Outside of term, they perform and record extensively, collaborating with leading orchestras and ensembles, broadcasting frequently on the BBC, and releasing acclaimed recordings. Their international tours have taken them across Europe, North America, and South Africa, bringing their distinctive sound to audiences around the world and this year their tour brings them to the Channel Islands, Brittany and Normandy.
