The Crisis Right with Louise Wener and Charlie Higson @ St James
How would you like to be at the inception of a brand-new show, featuring not one, but two legends of the 90s?
What happens when the movers and shakers of Cool Britannia become less hip, more hip replacement?
Can they still set the trend and display the best way to live through their midlife, showing us all how it’s done?
Welcome to The Crisis Right, with Louise Wener, front woman of 90s Britpop/Indie band Sleeper (Inbetweener), where all this and a whole lot more will be explored, as the queen of Britpop talks to her peers of the 1990s, reflecting on that golden era, whilst comparing it with how they are navigating their midlife. In doing so we find out if the darlings of the 90s music, film, comedy, art, sport and literature are doing their (midlife) ‘Crisis Right’!
The first ever live recording of the show will take place at St James on Friday 27th of January 2023 and we are delighted to announce that Louise's very first guest will be star of 90s comedy The Fast Show, Charlie Higson!
As one of the most recognised faces on TV, how did Charlie cope with that level of fame? Did he ever lose his head, or notice those around him losing theirs? What does he miss most about that time and what would he do differently if he got the chance?
How does life then compare with now and would his younger self be appalled at his midlife pursuits?
Please join Louise and Charlie as they compare notes on one of the most exciting eras of the 20th century - and possibly swap some gardening tips too.
