Troupe des Rêveurs New World - street performances
As part of Le French Festival 2023, join us for a series of free events celebrating the coming together of France and Guernsey.
Join performers from Troupe des Rêveurs New World to experience singers, dancers, clowns, popping up across St Peter Port town to offer each one solo, each in a street, on a square, in front of a window, a little moment of performance...
Artists seasoned in this kind of street work, approach, intervention with a good dose of controlled improvisation. Artists who have put together a tailor-made intervention...
LALIE MARMELADE
Lalie Marmelade is an eccentric and funny character. She surprises her audience by speaking her very own idiom which eventually proves meaningful.
FORTERESSE
This is the story of William The Conquerer when he was a child. He tells us about the day his father appointed him as his heir. But he does not yet know his incredible destiny. With puppets and object theater.
JERRY ET KAN
Two figures, walking in the street, entering a shop, strolling along the sea.
Questioning the world just by being there. Reacting to the life around them.
Soft and gentle, Jerry and Kan are also a bit clumsy and naive. They meet the audience at street corner, a picnic table or a playground... Jerry et Kan is a physical and non verbal show.
OURS
Let me introduce you to the intriguing Kjell. She has travelled the world and collected stories. She is here today to tell you a story she stumbled upon while learning new skills and she will be keen to share it with you. This story is all about a strange animal that falls in love and ends up finding itself in a world beyond its ken.
The performance is a combination of physical theater, storytelling and kamishibai — a Japanese storytelling technique with pictures. and kamishïbaÏ, a japanese story telling technique with pictures.
For the pleasure of the eyes and ears
For softness, bubbles of fantasy, poetry
To dream of our happy days!
Thank you for the support of Maison De La Normandie enabling us to bring these performers over to Guernsey.
