Twenty Per Cent: Photographs from Georgia's Frozen Conflicts
20th Oct - 29th Oct
In 2008, 6 years before Russia’s annexation of Crimea and 14 years before its full invasion of Ukraine, the small South Caucasus republic of Georgia was at war with the world’s largest country.
The five-day ‘August War’ was followed by the complete Russian occupation of Georgia’s Abkhazia and South Ossetia regions. The conflict and subsequent occupation has caused thousands to flee their homes, destroyed livelihoods and torn friends and families apart.
Twenty Per Cent is a record of the current reality of Georgia’s divided landscape.
