Twilight Cinema returns to Castle Cornet!

After a one-year hiatus for the Guernsey Island Games, Twilight Cinema will be returning to Castle Cornet, from 5-16 August.

12 days of films have been planned, which includes a different family-friendly film every day at 5pm, followed by another - aimed at an older audience - at 7pm.

Screenings will take place on the top lawn of Castle Cornet, allowing ticket holders to enjoy some of their favourite films in the unique setting of the Castle's historic walls.

Helen Glencross, Head of Heritage Services:

"We are delighted that the incredibly popular Twilight Cinema is back for 2024. A wide range of films have been chosen, so there is something for everyone. We hope lots of people will come and enjoy their favourite films in this beautiful and unique setting with their family and friends."

Ticket holders are advised to bring rugs to sit on, as well as plenty of warm clothing for the later showings. People can also bring picnics to enjoy in the grounds.

Chairs can be brought into the Castle, but users will be asked to sit at the back of the lawn to ensure everyone has a good view.

In the event of bad weather, screenings will be relocated to Beau Cinema's normal home in the Beau Sejour theatre (with the exception of Tuesday 6 August which, in the event of adverse weather, will be refunded).

Tickets, are priced at £6 per film and are on sale now from www.guernseytickets.gg

Gates will open 30 minutes prior to the start of the film. Some of the 5pm screenings will run on until 6.45pm, so please allow people to leave the 5pm screening before heading up to the lawn. All tickets must be pre-purchased and are not available on the gate. There are 120 tickets available per film.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
