Guernsey Arts announce Rebecca Booth’s appointment to the role of Head of Arts Development.

Following the news of Russ Fossey’s retirement, Guernsey Arts is pleased to announce Rebecca Booth’s appointment to the role of Head of Arts Development. Rebecca is already well known to the organisation as a current member of the Board, where she chairs both the Grants Committee, on which she has served since 2018, and the Governance Committee.

Rebecca worked in the finance sector until 2024 as a client director and senior manager, specialising in governance and sustainability. She currently chairs the Guernsey Investment Funds Association Marketing Development Committee and the Sustainable Finance Guernsey Council. Bringing over two decades of experience in governance, risk management and operations, Rebecca combines strategic leadership with a strong personal commitment to the development of arts and culture across the Bailiwick. Her longstanding involvement in the arts have included voluntary roles as Sponsorship Director for the Guernsey Literary Festival and as Chair and Committee Member of CineGuernsey.

Rebecca is recognised for her ability to build relationships across the public and private sectors, both locally and internationally, and for connecting organisations to deliver shared goals, an approach reflected in her work with Guernsey Arts and her wider leadership roles.

Stephen Ainsworth, Chair of the Guernsey Arts Board said:
"Rebecca brings exceptional experience and insight, alongside a deep commitment to the cultural life of the Bailiwick. We are delighted to welcome her into this role.”

Rebecca said:
“It is a privilege to accept this role. I look forward to supporting the continued development of arts and culture across our community and working with the amazing team”

Russ Fossey will be joining the board of Guernsey Arts as a Non-Executive Director and will also be accepting the role of Chair of the Grants Committee.
