Submissions Open! 2025 Bailiwick Wildlife Photography Exhibition
The Bailiwick Wildlife Photography Exhibition is a staple of the Guernsey Arts exhibition lineup. Showcasing the unique and varied range of wildlife that our beloved Bailiwick has to offer, Guernsey Arts is very pleased to announce that we are now accepting submissions for the 2025 Bailiwick Wildlife Photography Exhibition.
This year, we are celebrating the following categories; Birds, Insects, Marine, Bailiwick Animals, Film & Video and Patterns in Nature.
New for 2025, we will be collaborating with The Pollinator Project, welcoming a new ‘Pollinator’ category. This category, for students in full or part time education under the age of 24, will highlight the importance of pollinators within our local ecosystem. The ‘Pollinator’ Category will feature a separate judging panel and will introduce a new award - the ‘Barry Wells Award’ named after the late co-founder of the pollinator project. Barry, who was the exhibition’s Guest Judge and Featured Photographer for 2024, was an overall wildlife enthusiast who pioneered education on pollinators across the Island’s schools and community groups. We are honoured to be celebrating his legacy, encouraging the next generation to learn about the impact of pollinators locally.
The Wildlife Photography Exhibition celebrates our local community and wildlife. We see an increasing number of entrants and the quality of images submitted improves year on year. This year, the exhibition travelled to both Sark and Alderney, making the exhibition accessible to all within the Bailiwick.
Our featured photographer this year is John Horton. Based in Alderney, John is a local flora and fauna expert. John has a keen eye for rare species and we are very excited to be working with his expertise. John’s photography will be featuring birds and we look forward to seeing his work take flight on the walls of the Greenhouse Gallery.
Submissions can be completed online via our google form (Link Below) or a physical copy can be collected from the Guernsey Arts office based at Guernsey Museums at Candie.
