Grace Stevens is a visual artist and designer, based in Guernsey, Channel Islands.
After achieving a qualification in Creative and Digital Arts, Grace joined the Guernsey Arts team in a community-based role, concurrently working on her own creative projects and developing her identity as an artist.
“I work in a variety of mediums but tend to gravitate towards painting and digital artwork… usually implementing bold colours, intricate detail and fun, retro-esque elements. My inspiration comes predominantly from the surrealist movement of the early 20th century, which I like to combine with more modern influences. My own experiences, interests, family and my friends also play a big part in the direction I take with my work.”
Grace’s art and design work has featured in a variety of publications, events and exhibitions; such as International Women’s Day, The Beatles: Twist & Shout Exhibition, The Guernsey Arts Open, and the annual GA Student Show.
She has also worked alongside local charities and non-profit organisations, such as The Vale Earth Fair and The Guernsey Women’s Collective, to provide creative promotional material and branding design.
