I was brought up and educated in Guernsey, spending some happy, and very special years learning about theatre, at Guernsey Youth Theatre. I trained as an actor at Rose Bruford College, gaining a BA(Hons) Acting.
Early career focussed on theatre roles, particularly performance for young audiences, and relishing touring the UK with some fantastic productions - "The Twits" Belgrade Coventry, "Spot's Birthday Party" Oxford Playhouse, "Rabbit and Hedgehog" York Theatre Royal, and a first dip into television with three series of "Teddybears" for Children's ITV. There's always been a very physical element to my work, drawing on a sporty and active childhood, with productions using full and half mask, puppetry, acrobatics, physical theatre and movement skills. My career has blossomed with a balance of work across all media. Recent television includes BBC "Casualty", and Channel 4's "It's a Sin". Other strands include BBC radio drama; voiceovers, audiobooks, and podcasts. As a transgender person, I have a strong sense of identity. I'm an advocate for the visibility of under-represented groups, sit on the LGBT+ Committee for the actors union, Equity, and am a consultant for LGBT+ representation in the Arts. I am a ski instructor; and am all about the tea and cakes.
