Valerie Travers

Valerie Travers is a local artist, her family roots go back to the 1500's!

Creativity has been part of her life as far back as she can remember. She is self taught and initially took up watercolours when her sons were growing up, but now her portfolio also features oils, pastels, acrylics and mixed media. Living on the island of Guernsey, seascapes naturally play an important part in her work. However, landscapes, floral scenes, and abstracts are also subjects she enjoys. Variety is the spice of life!Along with exhibiting locally on a regular basis Valerie has also shown work across the world and has been featured in various local and foreign publications. One particular achievement was being commissioned to create all the artwork for a super yacht, completing all eighteen works within the year preceding the launch of the vessel.Valerie works quietly from her home studio which also doubles as a venue to display her paintings.
